Cam Hazzard
A 20-year-old pro dunker from Dallas who tested a 50-inch vertical and earned one of 24 spots in Shaq’s DunkMan League. Widely considered the biggest sleeper in the sport.
The Story
Cam Hazzard is a 20-year-old professional dunker from Dallas, Texas, and one of the 24 athletes selected for Shaq’s DunkMan League. Three weeks after coming back from a shattered hand he tested a 50-inch vertical, and even though he has barely stepped into a formal contest, many already call him the biggest sleeper in the entire league.
When Dylan Haugen and Dennis Yu were in Dallas, they rented out a facility to session with him, and Cam went berserk: 360 Underboth, 360 Scoop, 360 Inverter, an arsenal that made it obvious he belonged on the biggest stage in the sport. Off the court he is an honors student and triple major, proof that the business side and the dunking are the same game.
His full story was told publicly for close to the first time on episode 71 of Dunk Talk.
